Sport is a healthy pastime that is enjoyed by people of all abilities from all backgrounds.

A ball and a patch of land has been the breeding ground for many of our favourite sports stars. Footys4All provides the opportunity for kids to enjoy playing sport.

This is an option ALL kids deserve!

My time of being involved in Football from AFL, VFL and TAC levels combined with years working as a Physical Education teacher I have the benefits sport can bring to its participants, especially kids. That’s why I strongly believe in the work being done at Footys4All in its mission to supply sporting equipment to those in need. To see the joy in a young kids face the moment he perfects a skill, scores his first goal or simply running around playing a game with friends is something every child should get to enjoy.

I’m impressed with Footys4All’s purpose and drive because from Uluru to the Bronx, La Paz to Marrakesh, life is better if there’s a ball to toss, kick, or hit  around. Sport builds community, sport creates friendships, sport enhances self esteem, sport brings respect, sport is beneficial for health and fitness, and for the most gifted, sport can be a means to escape poverty. I’ve been fortunate enough to be raised in sporting environments, and doubly fortunate that my family was always able to provide equipment. Eventually it meant that I made it to an AFL senior list, and also had wonderful experiences in lower grade cricket and basketball teams. If Footys4All can help the less fortunate experience the joy I have had, it will be a great accomplishment. Footys4All has my full support.

Wesley Hull-Gordonvale Primary Teacher,Cairns, QLD

“Our club, Pyramid Power has undertaken a “Brother Club” project where we unite Australian Rules clubs through friendship across the world, offering support, playing opportunities, equipment, expertise or just plain old support to other clubs, where possible.

Footys4all is also in a position of uniting children and families worldwide through the medium of Australian Rules football and the provision of balls to the underprivileged everywhere.

Our respective aims fit together perfectly – unity.

Wesley Hull is a primary school teacher in Gordonvale, south of Cairns. He has also taught in a secondary indigenous independent setting. He has combined teaching duties with a passion to coach and develop Australian Rules football throughout the school system in a largely Rugby League environment. Additionally, Wesley volunteers his services to the nearby Djarragun Indigenous College, bringing the game into the after school education program for boarding students.
